Viajeros and slaughter houses want a product with less shrinkage, more prime cuts and higher carcass recovery. Therefore, pig farmers desire pigs that will serve the quality specifications of their clients, from the viajero, slaughter house, processing plants to the consuming public.   The ultimate objective of the pork industry is to provide protein to people with desirable quality, marketability and safety. Composition:

PRiMEAT MAX contains Ractopamine hydrochloride. Ractopamine has been used as a feed additive to promote leanness in pigs raised for their meat. Ractopamine was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration on December 22, 1999, and has also been approved in more than 20 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and Thailand.

Ractopamine in feed for animals is responsible for dramatic muscle growth, yet it is not a steroid or hormone, but rather a compound known as a beta agonist. Only a trace amount of Ractopamine needs to be added for a marked increase in protein and decrease in fat accretion in animals, particularly in swine. For the last 40 kilograms of live weight gain, 10 - 20 grams of Ractopamine added to a ton of feed (10 - 20 ppm) will increase protein by 24% and decrease fat by 34%.

PRiMEAT MAX improves carcass quality and growth rate by increasing the utilization of protein of the body. The increased utilization of protein through repartitioning action will increase nitrogen retention that promotes increased muscle mass. The enhanced deposition of protein will utilize free energy thus preventing fat deposition.

Indication:

For the increase in carcass leanness, increase in carcass dressing percentage, improved rate of weight gain, and improved feed efficiency of finishing pigs.

Dosage & Administration:

Incorporate at the rate of 10-20 parts per million into complete feeds.

The Genetic Factor of Pigs:

The genetic composition of finishing pigs will play a major role in the response to feeds with Ractopamine hydrochloride (PRiMEAT MAX) powder. High muscling genetics, like Pietrains and other hybrids, will require less feeding days while breeds that have a high component of Large White maternal line and other maternal breeds may require a longer period of feeding.
